Privacy Policy

The short of it

Your dreams are private. Only you can read them. We take out names and places before the AI reads anything, we never sell your data, and we never use it to train AI. Questions: hello@mothe.app.

What we keep

Your account: your email, the name you chose, how you signed in (Google or email), and your settings (wake time, reminder, language).

What you tell Mothe: the words of your dreams and feelings, Mothe's reflections, your answers, and your Go deeper conversations.

How the app is used: which screens are opened and for how long, with a random id made on your phone. No words from your dreams are ever part of this. It helps us see whether Mothe is actually helping.

What we don't keep

Voice recordings. When you speak, the sound is turned into text as you talk and is not stored, by us or by the speech service. We don't use advertising trackers.

Who helps us run Mothe

Supabase (database and sign-in, stored in the EU) · Vercel (hosting) · Anthropic (the AI that writes reflections; it doesn't train on what it reads) · Deepgram (speech to text, opted out of keeping or learning from audio) · Resend (the morning email) · Google (only if you sign in with Google). Each only gets what it needs to do its part.

Why we use it

To give you the service you asked for (your reflections, journey, patterns and reminders), to keep it safe, and to improve it from usage numbers that never include your words. Where the law asks for a reason, it's our agreement with you, and our interest in running a safe, working app.

Your choices

Export everything at any time (You → Privacy → Export a copy). Turn the morning email off from the email itself or in You. Delete your profile from You → Privacy: everything goes after 14 days (in case you change your mind), and from backups within 30 days after that. You can also ask us to see, correct or delete your data by writing to hello@mothe.app.

Where it lives

Your data is stored in the EU, wherever you live. When a service outside the EU helps (like the AI), it's covered by standard data protection contracts.

Age

Mothe is for people 18 and older. If we learn a profile belongs to someone younger, we delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it applies.
